Inside details of Junaid Safdar and Ayesha’s short-lived marriage and divorce why this happened
Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar had tied the knot with Ayesha Saif Khan in August this year. However, their marriage did not last long and Junaid has now confirmed that they are divorced.
While the reason for their sudden split has not been disclosed officially, sources close to the family have revealed that compatibility issues between Junaid and Ayesha were a major factor in their decision to part ways.
Junaid and Ayesha’s personalities and interests did not seem to gel well according to people close to the couple. They often engaged in arguments on trivial domestic matters. Political differences between their families also created tensions.
Ayesha, who comes from a politically connected but non-political family, found it difficult to adjust to the high-profile and politically active lifestyle of Junaid’s family, the sources added.
Moreover, Maryam Nawaz’s aggressive style of politics was not something Ayesha approved of either. She preferred keeping away from the limelight and controversies, which clashed with Maryam and Junaid’s public persona.
The young couple tried to resolve their issues but failed to develop mutual understanding and emotional intimacy over the months. This eventually led to the breakdown of their marriage within just three months of tying the knot.
While it is disappointing for both families, people close to them say the divorce decision was taken amicably to prevent further friction in their relationship. Junaid and Ayesha will continue to stay separated.
